Default Just down the road from Andersonville
Is a small rural airport just outside of Americus, Georgia nothing big but it has a historical marker " Site of Charles Lindbergs first solo flight" The things you learn when you take some back roads.

It was a great 4th of July today.

Jimmy Carter used to fly into Americus, GA when he went home to visit family in Plains Must have been a Site Marine 1 landing there

How close is Toccoa to Psyco Mtn? Can you get there from here?

My guess is Toccoa is about 60 - 80 miles east of ellijay. Probably an hour or hour and a half. you headed that way soon?

No, was thinking of a side trip at Psyco Mtn time. Have you ever been there? Wondering if there is anyhting left of the original jump school and wanted to see Currahee. If I plan something sooner....will let you know but was really thinking about the upcoming Psyco Mtn reunion. Doc Fred told me that nobody runs in jump school anymore and they just attend classes. Don't think I want to see Benning so thought Toccoa might be fun.
