I got recruited, again!
I got a letter in the mail yesterday from the Army. They want me as a chaplain. Only I don't believe they know I'm a 60 year old veteran.
Anyway, I filled it out and sent it in. We'll find out just how desperate they are for Chaplains. I met all the requirements except for age. I can't even imagine myself on active duty again. Anyway it will be interesting to see their answer. Keith

Keith....I think your answer will be something like the one they gave me. After 9/11 I called a recruiter to see what I could do about getting back on active duty, the guy laughs and says, and I quote, "Maybe if Canada invades we'll call you".
Good thing we were on the phone and not toe to toe, he just may have hurt me! Trav

I am in good physical condition.
I'm in pretty good shape. Probably better than some of the chaplains.
I know I could do the job. Thats what I've been doing for 30+ years. But they have that age requirement. I got one of these letters about five years ago. It had the age requirement spelled out on it. This time the age requirement was blank. We'll see. Keith P.S. I'm not sure I want to go in but it would be something I'd have to think about if they offer it. But, I figured if they were really desperate they might let me join.

I just think it is eerie that you lose all that weight, get back in shape and them this letter comes. Man!
