Welcome home. Watched it land this morning, have never been one to get all giddy or too excited about space exploration, but found myself glued to the tv and praying for the best this morning. Good job guys!

You bet I too was tuned into the NASA station the whole time and was so proud of those people and wishing I could have been there. I too "Welcome them Home" and they did a swell job.

I was watching as well as praying that all went well, as it did. I also hope that all the problems can be worked out and continued success is in the future for the system and NASA.

I am a bit of a space buff, was very happy to see them land well. Remembered the members of Columbia as I saw the shuttle land.

Not for many years have I been a "fan" of the space program, but what they do never ceases to amaze me either... every single time.

Default Shuttle

Is about to be de-commissioned, and the space station, Thats the only way that the space program can go forward with a new system. The shuttle is obsolete and not worth putting billions into to get it worthy. It will never be perfect, nor will any other system that NASA makes, but the next generation will be more reliable and thats what counts.
The taxpayers will have to spend $1,000,000 to deliver the shuttle to Florida from California because the shuttle can't fly through clouds, Something wrong with that?
Before the next system is put into place, I would like to see something from NASA stating its perpous. I would bet that very few people knew just what the discovery mission was, or what they did,
Having a space program is most likely important, but wouldn't it be nice to know what we are buying?
