Beware - Those Who Would Be Kings!

For better than two hundred years now, the wisdom of our Founding Fathers has dominated the domestic scene. Granted, certain things are bound to change if a nation is to progress, but an axiom (LAW) is still an axiom!

We the People took an impossible dream and transformed it into a reality , while other, once mighty nations toppled and eroded all about us! The rule of absolute power, and adoration of but one absolute potentate for life, was successfully replaced in our American ideology by the will and mandates of the majority! And to avoid the crippling complications of a monarchy, we refreshed, every now and again, the bloodline and political affiliation of our temporary leadership! This transition of power, not only allowed for fresh representation and ideas (within reason), but also eliminated most of the risk of stoic complacency and corruptible power, brought about by those who became overly impressed with themselves!

Into our system of government, men and women (most of them far more dedicated to our own ?COLLECTIVE? needs than some within today?s leadership), proved to the rest of the world that we could survive and flourish, while other nations quickly succumbed to their own greed, inadequacies, and egos! We are, after all, a nation that applauds good leadership, but opposes those who attempt to fix or alter that which works and is time-tested!

From time to time, however, a systemic imperfection, in the form of a self-serving idea or individual, enters the matrix. An idea or thing that seeks to eternally turn the odds or blessings of liberty in their (and their cohorts) favor, and by doing so, defecate upon the will of the true source of power - "The People Themselves!"

In my own humble opinion, one of the most dangerous corners ever turned by any vested politico, is to even suggest (let alone bring about), self-serving and damaging changes in our election procedures! Changes such as putting-off election dates (claiming some convenient national emergency as a catalyst), or altering term limitations that were first envisioned by past patriots, or by even suggesting for a moment that - the ?Native Born Clause? as a prerequisite to the presidency, be dropped in favor of perceived or celluloid stardom!

Also detestable to my way of thinking, is the way in which our open door policy has deteriorated into a ?Pinata of Rip & Run!? Far too many now seek entrance into our home (nation), not to leave it a little better for their having been here, but rather to milk it for what they can, and then carry off their spoils like the Barbary Pirates of yore . And unfortunately for us, some international leaders have also adopted this cavalier, buccaneer attitude toward the United States! Bolstered, I might add, by a scant few within our own leadership to whom world whim and internationalism comes before the needs and mandates of those who support and/or shed their blood to maintain some of these foreign boondogglers and hucksters !

?Indeed, we have no need for foreign hucksters, as we produce quite enough of our own domestic variety - thank-you!!? And as if these "Hurray For Me, To Hell With You Artists? were not dangerous enough, they in-turn fill their rolls with like-thinking self promoters and agencies of mindless yes-men (and women), guaranteed to continue to pollute the status-quo infinitum! People on the order, unfortunately, of those who have brought into power, and maintained, some of history?s most dangerous despots! ?Tis the mindless follower, after all, who perpetuates the evils of the author of all evils!!
