another fun filled ( NOT !! ) trip to the VA hospital...

well the appt. I made Feb. 15 for Apr 30 has come and gone. An intense 80 min. with the shrink and my wife. I officially have PTSD. I have to go back July 1 to finish this. So that is 10 months for three interviews. Of course this doesn't get you any money... the C and P people and Nashville give u the money. This is one f*cked up situation. The hospital wasn't in the best shape. The psychiatrist is ok..he got me riled up over a few things, and my wife was helpful. for anyone wanting to party with the VA, expect a long drawn out battle with frustration, stupidity, compassion and healing and money at the end. I have been doing this for 2 years now....and so it goes.

With the VA in Oct 1998, You were there when I got my 100% letter at the campout, 6 years.

Larry, Sid et al...started with the VA in 1996, just had another C & P appointment last Thursday. Docs took me off work Feb 17 2004. In 2000, they told me surgery would not help, three weeks ago they told me surgery would not help me. My C&P was conducted by a retired two star, "Surgery will not help you son", could someone tell me what the hold up is?!?

The system is the holdup. I could right a book about my own stuff from my highly documented wounds and my experiences working for them and helping others with their claims for 12 years. It is a sad, sad, system. Hang in there fellow Trooper!
