![]() Activist Jane Fonda attends a 1970 anti-Vietnam War rally at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. John Kerry can be seen directly in the background. By the time this photo was taken Kerry was one of the leaders of the organization Vietnam Veterans Against the War which sponsored many such events using donations from people such as Fonda. John Kerry spoke at this anti-Vietnam War rally along with Jane Fonda.

![]() Blues he has been kicking himself for years, nobody here has anything to do with that, he has brought it entirely upon himself.
He most likely fought honorably, I don't know I was not there, but then he returned to aid the enemy against our own by giving them comfort and encouragement in the form of radical protests. There is not a historian alive who would not agree with the idea that the outrageous protests of that era contributed greatly to the enemies morale and to the treatment our veterans received upon their return to the states. Are all veterans created equal? Those who defend Kerry would argue yes as you just did Blues. "Leave him alone he's a vet!". I have wondered about this idea for years. During my time in the Gulf I saw brave soldiers and I saw cowards. I saw men who put them self in the line of fire for their units and I saw men who shit their pants literally when we had incoming scuds. So I wondered upon my return if we were truly all equal. The conclusion I came to is that upon the battle field we were equals yes. There is no accounting for the fact that different psyches react differently under the pressure of impending death. But Blues, once we have returned and no longer face the reaper daily, who then is accountable for our actions? From a personal standpoint I want to add I feel I am most likely alive today because many in our government acted to stop the ideas of people like kerry from taking root in this country. I cannot imagine having gone to Iraq facing T-80's with M60's and where would our infantry have been without the Bradly? I could go on forever but in my opinion he leveraged the blood of his brothers for political gain, and that disgusts me. |

![]() My take is that Kerry is and was casting about for some bottle rocket to attach to the butt of his political star and voooooom off he goes in a high ballistic arc as a supposed crowd pleaser. I suspect that a shot of sodium pentathol and some onion pealing would reveal that he doesn?t believe in anything to speak of except his own ego and self-aggrandizement and never has. The big and serious problem with Kerry is all the markers he has to put on the table to get where he wants to go and what those paybacks are going to look like. Couple this with his lack of a deep keel and other hands on his helm and we got a quite a serious gamble on the plate.
Personally, I don?t buy into his saga of caring about troops in VN as the reason for the Red bitch connects. His subsequent Senate behavior screams out that he gave a rat?s butt less that the US Military had first-rate equipment, actually he was very much against the ideas. Ha, his article about the UN in control of US Military deployment probably caused endless rounds of black bread, vodka salutes and celebrative shouts of ?Rasverdonia? in Moscow of the time. What a sweet deal for the Red Bear; check and check mate, the Bear wins the world by definition and default. Maybe his eventual memoirs should have the title: ?In the wake of the Red Bitch? Scamp

![]() Thanks for the heads-up on the book! Will do some detailed research on it. I would only hope that any Vietnam veteran will remember how The Red Bitch acted against us, and that anybody even remotely associated with her is not to be trusted, not be to elected to anything, and not qualified for high public office.
... and Miss Melody, I would urge you to read, perhaps at frequent intervals, the beautiful quote from David...... that should help you make up your mind.
