Angry Our Country Started Going Down Hill;

After JFK was elected our ffice:smarttags" />lace>United Stateslace> has never been the same and began its downfall into the pits of UNHOLY HELL and a lot of folk?s won?t ever face this as truth. So maybe I?m wrong about some dates. I?ll probably be banned from this forum for stating my beliefs. I?ve got to say this though.

In 1961 When the United States got involved with the Vietnam War. Marilyn Monroe?s death

fficeffice" />>>

1963, Then the Cuban Missile Crises/Bay of Pigs. Then the death of a President in broad daylight. His Assassin Lee Harvey Oswald being killed by a millionaire in front of cameras while being escorted by police. Jack Ruby being killed while in jail by an ejection of homemade cancer agent and dieing while in jail. Then much later another attempt to kill yet another president.

>>

The president?s brother Bob being killed by assassin. Then all the rioting/Vietnam War/Blacks being persecuted/Malcolm X assonated, M.L. King assassinated The Watts riot and on and on and on.

>>

Had the Kennedy?s Dad been taken care of by Elliot Ness the Kennedy kid?s that survived him would never have been heard of because they?d have been working in a factory, gas station, construction or serving hamburgers somewhere. Therefore Kennedy wouldn?t have been killed in 1963 and everything that happened while he was in office would never have taken place.

>>

Marilyn Monroe would probably still be living and so on and so on. Our country would still stand up for GOD, Truth and the American way. We?d still have the 10 Commandments; the Pledge of Allegiance would still be regarded as sacred and so on and so on.

>>

Our Country, fellow Veteran?s started down that hill in 1961 and it doesn?t look too good on the survival scale of ever coming back to her feet.

>>

I know some of you are going to be pissed at me but in my eyes this is the truth.

>>

Regards,

Travis

Trav -
To remediate the situation you have brought forward to your attention, America might wish to consider a direct democracy form of government:

- No closed primaries
- No gerrymandering
- No electoral college

For starters... :-)

BLUEHAWK;
Some new laws are going to have to be made for our Country to even stand a chance of making a comeback.
Who would make these laws up and get them to become active
as you stated in the followin quote?

"- No closed primaries
- No gerrymandering
- No electoral college

For starters... :-)"

We can no longer depend on lawmakers to design laws that are for the people and not to create laws made knowing they'll be broken so as to line some local government/state government/politicians pocket.

WE, WE Trav... WE make (or "Permit"?) those laws.

And I can tell ya bro... them who is in power knows it won't be a pretty sight from where they now stand.

Yet, perhaps you and me believe that there IS a better way, we two ones?

Direct democracy good. One man/ person, one vote, counted accurately and with justice... is all anyone has ever asked... ASKED!

We are a Republic, a Federalist Republic... and by damn under that we WILL stand until such time as she changes her mind one more time.

Help is needed Trav, help is needed to achieve this dream we've all had... I am a very old man, young men are needed to come forth.

Make new laws Trav, make new laws to help and aid our people, go forth brother, I am weakening and America needs your power and vision to take us all to the next place.

BLUEHAWK;
My Dad was born on July the fourth.
My oldest son was born on St. Patrick's day.
BLUEHAWK, I'm probably older than you. We old fart's have got to bring back our Country to rise above this political SH#T our past politicians have reaked upon us Citizen's/Veteran's.
We've all gotta FIGHT to regain America back to her STANDARDS!!!
Remember "The Great Speckeled Bird"!!!

Default Some minor corrections

Bay of Pigs, 1961 - due to last-minute denial of naval and air support, as had been planned all along, the Cuban expatriates who were attempting to seize control from Castro were gunned down on the beaches, or taken prisoner.

Lee Harvey Oswald - did not kill JFK. His location made it ballistically impossible to fire the fatal shot. Just a stooge in the grander scheme of things.

Jack Ruby - hardly a millionaire. He was a two-bit lower ranking member of a Mafia family from New Orleans, who earlier had contracted with a Sicilian sniper for the hit. Ruby was used to silence Oswald, as the Family knew that Ruby was already terminally ill with cancer, and his death from the Big C would put an end to his spilling the frijoles of what little he knew.

Marilyn Monroe - probably a hit job to keep her from ruining the Kennedy dynasty.

Elliot Ness - yeah, he should have whacked Poppa Kennedy during the Rum Running Days; woulda saved us all a lot of grief, not to mention the Kennedy clan itself, which appears to be permanently snakebit.

Race Riots - my roommate in OCS flew right back to California after graduation, and right into the nastiest fracas in Watts. I chose instead to go to Vietnam - seemed safer at the time! Easiest way to abbreviate them: just keep supplying enough ammo to Korean shopkeepers and they'll solve the problem, just like they did after the Rodney King riots. 90% of the rioters killed had been targeted and hit by Korean shopkeepers fighting like hell to save their shops.

We CAN restore the Ten Commandments and the Pledge of Allegiance to their respectively rightful places. We need to have judges who will properly interpret the law, not legislate from the bench. We need to have city police who will enforce the law, and not be afraid of policital correctness. We need to have firm discipline in our schools, and hold parents accountable for the misconduct of their spoiled children. And we need to boycott the entertainment industry that continues to produce morally degrading bilge and try to call it art.

And Sir Blue: let's shorten the political campaign season to 3 months. Create a national ID card to eliminate voter fraud.

Post From 1960 - 2000

Church attendance has plummeted downward.

In 1960 - 70 percent of America was in church on Sunday morning.

In 2000 only 20 percent of America was in church on Sunday morning.

I wonder if that may be contributing to the moral decline?

Keith
