Brice / Superscout question about the Bible

You had mentioned in a post way back there, that you favored a particular transalation of the Bible. Could you post again, as it sounded interesting ? Thanks. Larry

It's called the
Peshitta translation based upon the Aramaic language.

Here's some other info about this translation: Publisher: A. J. Holman Company, Philidelphia Translator: Geroge M. Lamsa The Aramaic words, awaley - meaning "ungodly," and eweley - meaning "babies," are very similar when written in the native cursive. Their translation, however, can cause confusion to say the least. For example, in the KJV, Job 19:18 it is written, "... Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and the spake against me..." This same passage in the Peshitta text reads "... Yea, even the wicked despise me; when I rise, the speak against me..." The latter seems to make more sense to me!
