WW 2 Holland Grave

My brother Robert Morneweck, 101st Air Borne was KIA 4-13-45 crossing Rhine River. I just learned that a school teacher was taking care of his grave at Margraten,Holland 1945. I contacted a travel agent fra11@travelin-tigers.com and told them in 1945 Emmy-Heymens, 156 Bunders, Meerssen,Holland was the only information I had.. They contacted a collegue in his seventies and new a lot of people in Meerssen. His daughter checked the address and a Mr. Heynens lived there but died many years ago.. Then I received a e-mail saying ?we found her !!!? Emmy was pleasantly surprised and I now had her address. Emmy was a teacher at a boys school in Margraten, when she heard you could adopt a grave and she adopted my brothers grave. Emmy put flowers on the grave and corresponded with my mother and father.

Emmy married in 1953 and her husband died in 1995. She has two children a girl named Emmy in 1960, and a boy named Ludo in 1961. Emmy lives single and Ludo is married. They both live near their mother.. Mother Emmy has no computer but her son and daughter do, so I corresponded through them. Also Ludo?s wife Renate.

Emmy is a senior and is going to sell her house and get a senior apartment. Her house has 10 rooms,2 staircases, a big garden and 2 car garage. I have some pictures of Emmy putting flowerson my brothers grave,of her chuch inMeerssen. If it was not for the inter-net I never would have had contact with a wonderful family of Emmy Fransen-Heijnens

Art , what a great story. This machine is a wonder , I to have met many wonderful people through this thing also. May God keep blessing Emma and your brother.

It is a small world. I recently contacted a WW2 Veteran and found he was in Air Corp. Cadets . . We were in Gettysburg College at same time but with 900 cadets it was hard to know every one.
