Double Standard Along The Border

?Many groups, both here and in Mexico, are protesting the fact that our Border Patrol Agents are packing 40 Caliber Autos, replete with hollow-point bullets!

Many Hispanic advocacy groups are claiming that these hollow point shells are real people killers, and that most Mexicans illegally traversing our borders are just in search of a better life, more money and reunification with families!

As a matter of fact, some Mexican politicos are calling for the use of a Kindler/Gentler Bullet (??) in dealing with illegal international traffic!

Well, this is all well and good from a compassion point of view, as many coming north are genuinely in search of a better way of life - ?But all is not as it may seems?!?

In just the last year alone, if I caught the figures right, 1 Million Pounds of Pot, 7 tons of cocaine, and some 368 armed encounters with Hispanic bad boys along our borders, hardly give our agents cause for glee! However, there are those who would arm our Border Patrol Agents with only BB Guns, mace and a friendly smile alone!

Of course, little is reported about the fact that our agents often face their counterparts in the Mexican Army and police, who are armed with AK-47s, Grenade Launchers and other assorted automatic weapons. Also, much of the time, our Agents are denied use of even their handguns in self-defense! So I ask you, what is the Mexican government bitching about, where were they during Gulf War II, and what is their ultimate agenda?
