Lets get real; minimum wage

I am far from that category, but it has me bothered.

If the average Joe/Jane goes out there and finds work for the min wage, theey cant make a living at 40 hours a week (unless you are a bunch of wet backs piked in an apartment three bunks high in each room.)

My lowest helper makes 12.00 an hour and all he has to do is chaulk and putty/sand. Spray man 20.00 an hour ( plus the high of Laquer).

They are responsible for their own taxes ( form 1099 ).

But to get back to the original point is that by the time anyone flips a burger/polishes a car/pours concrete and makes min wage at 5.35 an hour, then comes uncle sam and takes one third,, the price of gas is so high now that half the time they cant afford it, the food is going up, and insurance is out of site.

HELL, BY THE TIME ALL THAT IS TAKEN CARE OF, YOU CANT EVEN AFFORD A BALLPARK HOTDOG, LET ALONE GO TO THE GAME, and yet people are happy with it cause they are living the best they can.

Now I am not smart " by any means", but I think the min wage should be at least 10.00 an hour. I dont get rich by the help I hire, I just want the job done and right. At no cost. I make mine and to say the truth it is good, but not that good.

It would put more monies into the circulation cause of taxes, and also make people like Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Ross Perot, and many many more eat a bologna sandwich every once in a while.

Oh the cost of Car Insurance also. My gog that is going through the roof, but you have to have it if you wanna drive.

What are your opions on this just to change the subject of slamming on this wonderful site.??
