Congress has just decided that the well-being of millions of America?s senior citizens is not worth bothering with! Have our over-paid playboys in Washington DC lost sight of the fact that Seniors too have the right to vote here in this land of (not so) plenty, at least as far as prescription medicines are concerned?

It seems that while Congress is personally covered for everything from Hepatitis to Hang-nails, our proudly aging population is being advised by some in government (in no uncertain terms) that they can go to hell! After all, Congress reasons, these older citizens can longer defend the nation, even though many are veterans, they (elderly) don?t
contribute as much in taxes as does the working middle-class (the super rich, of course, pay far from their fair share), and the elderly are not as active in political fund raising (Congress thinks) as the young jocks with an eye on the future (their future)?!

With many seniors in a quandary over whether to buy needed drugs, eat, or even pay their rent, those in DC who?s choices are limited to what brand of bubbly to buy, have opted to wipe away many oldsters, one denied prescription at a time! ?Gee, I wonder if the VA has ever taken lessons from Medicare??

As a matter of fact, in Massachusetts, a State that has prided itself on Liberty, Justice for
all, 3 major drug-store chains won?t even fill ?Medicare Prescriptions?, or so it was reported!?

I remember how an affluent ex-California Senator once remarked that the "Poor Didn?t Need Cars As They Had No Place To Go Anyway?? As such, I can only assume that Congress feels that the elderly don?t need prescription drugs either, as the only place that the aged need to go is to hell, and Congress wants to help us on our way! ?Isn?t that
magnanimous of them?"

Well dear Congressmen and Congresswomen, come next election, many of you high-stepping fools just might beat us old farts there (to Hell)! After all, once voted out of office, what the heck else are you good for? Not that some of you were any good while you were in office either!!
