Although painful to consider, the real possibility exists that our magnificent Nation will not survive into the next century! Now I know for a fact that those are fighting words, but I ask you to consider the following.

Russia is again re-emerging as a global super power, by virtue of it’s new-found oil wealth. Now add to this the fact that this very nation that we had to save from the brink of starvation, but a few short years ago, has attested to their desire to resurface as a military juggernaut! Can the re-conquest of their lost territories be far behind, and who will stop them - the rash of political Chamberlains that now infest the planet?

And what about China, a nation of billions of souls that is currently flooding our markets with tainted junk that is injuring our own kids! And never let us forget Chavez, Kim Jong Il, the North Vietnamese and the Middle East, along with the potential for yet another Hundred Year War fighting terrorism!

Those are harsh words says you! Well maybe so, but when one couples all of this with an indigent United Nations, as well as our own government that is opening up the flood gates to illegal immigration, just as it did to foreign enterprise (NAFTA etc), then only a fool would have no concern!

“And what about our political system itself?” With the two major political parties working hard to destroy the other, and We The People caught within the vice that separates them, is politics naught but a game of absolute power, or don’t the people count any more? I mean, we are there to fight wars, pay taxes, shoulder the pain, and little more these days, or so it seems?

And any legislation that benefits our people, our sovereignty, or honor, or even our survival, runs into a vested blizzard of opposition from those well-situated fat cats to whom truth and honesty mean next to nothing, or so it seems!

Now to add insult to pure misery, we are locked in a time-consuming debate over whether global warming, our international enemies, new diseases, or our own arrogance and stupidity will destroy us first?

Your are soooo right. Foreign Aid monies didn't do a thing but find a sharp stick in the eye. We never were any good at protecting our best interest. I saw Russia changing its colors along time ago. Can't trust them. China is was just a matter of time and Asia never really liked anyone other than their own kind. The Japnese are also learning that their tactics are now being used against them in China and others.

The learning curves of life are very steep to get up - but many of the lessons also have a sudden drop off on the other end. Is it too late for us to make changes? I think so - they already have the blueprint and are making copies everywhere. How this will turn out? God only knows. But its not a pretty picture and seems like its only going to get worse as time goes on. Look at the Brits once a number one world power and so were we but now the tides shifting and now others will become the superpowers.

We have no manufacturing base to fall back on and we depend on much of our raw materials from other countries. Oil is the big one and they use this leverage against us in every proposal from every country with this product.

Our own leaders have not looked at the big picture and when they did - it was too late. Now we must begin to feed off the sour grapes they will be selling us. Yes we've lost our leveage and have very little to offer any of these countries anymore. They can now get much of it elsewhere and for less. Our overhead is such that we will surely bankrupt ourselves and be out looking for handouts from those we've helped in the past - but don't hold your breath - that will never happen - they don't have the same honor system we used to employ.

We are now known as the aggressor's and its our methods and ways doing things that have greatly changed the worlds mind set about us. We can't convince too many to support our way of doing things as the backlash is beginning to leave scars. The few and the proud can't do much about the many who are calling the shots. By the time we wake up we've already found the system has made profound decisions in our behalf causing us undo grief and higher taxes to compliment their errors.

Russia supplies Iran with enriched uranium and the technology to produce it. Iran supplies Russia with cheap oil because Russia hasn't yet developed its own vast oil reserves. Syria develops missiles that can attack the Jewish state of Israel so Israel reacts by bombing the sites where Russia has imported nuclear technology to Syria. The Iranian President says that Israel should be wiped of the face of the map. Israel holds the Palestinian people as prisoners and only gives them little, inadequate subsistence. America allies itself with Israel, the only non oil producing Middle Eastern nation. America’s marginal ally in the area, Turkey debates whether American planes can land in their nation. American soldiers and airmen die in Iraq in an effort to deliver democracy to that country and the Shah’s and Mullahs see democracy as a way to subvert their self enriching authorities. Shouldn’t their individual tribe be the ruling authority and how dare those other tribes think that they should have any say in the matter of State?
The American President has the balls to appoint a woman as Secretary of State to speak with Middle Eastern rulers and she doesn’t even cover her head when talking to them.
Usama Bin laden enjoys the scenery in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan which used to be East Pakistan and is now a nuclear power.
Bend over America. Oh, and by the way while your down there if you need to go to the store make sure you fuel up your SUV for $2.92 for every 4 miles you drive. Just send your bucks either to the Mullah or down to Venezuela because their Pres’ figures that we is the scum of the earth and he can make some bucks off us.

China says that they need some more shipping boxes to send back to America because they haven’t gotten rid of all of their lead yet and there’s an uneducated market for it to sell to in America. The number one export from America to China is cardboard, empty cardboard shipping containers.

Well hardcore it has been politics as usual for the past 200 some odd years and will continue like that. Wha gets me is that the politicans seem to forget how this nation was born out of revolution due to an opressive government. Seems that kind of government is coming around again.

We need Leadership not the Bullsh_t that's been handed out. The special interest groups in Washington have always been there but they are new breed of graf grapping self interest personnel. The real help never gets to those in need. This country had it all and is giving it away for very little return.

I've been hardpressed to find something positive come out of Washington in the last 20 years. Our older generation are forgotten souls, our sick and our dispossed are forgotten souls, our fighting men and women are forgotten souls, - where are the benefits - the gains and the general welfare of our people going?

3% of the population is happy and living off of our sweat given by the many who've poured their hearts and souls into making a living and providing for their familes. No longer is a single income good enough to raise a family. No longer is two incomes with their children running the street enough to raise a family, what has to be done to bring this back into perspective?

Why has our dollar degenerated into worthless cash? When was last time someone took a vacation and could really afford it? Why does it take so long to save any money for retirement? Oh by the way who can retire?

Food cost have risen, milk for kids is going up, transportation is depreciating rapidly, autos cost as much as it used to for a house. Cost efficient cars are so expensive that only those with mega bucks can buy.

The picture is not good and getting worse each day. Depression? You bet and the head hurts all the time.
