News - Defense Leaders Check Progress on Efficiencies Initiatives

Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates met with top civilian and military leaders here Sept. 22 to discuss progress on the Defense Department's efforts to reduce overhead costs and promote efficiencies. The group included the 10 combatant commanders who lead the nation's operational military.
