ADAK, Alaska - A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter rescue crew hoists a crewman from the 580-foot South Korean-flagged bulk carrier, BK Champ, about 30 miles southwest of Adak Sept. 21, 2010.
The crewman was successfully hoisted and transferred to LifeMed Alaska Air crew in Adak and was transported to Anchorage for further treatment.

ADAK, Alaska - The 580-foot bulk carrier BK Champ crew wait for the hoist of one of their crewmembers after he injured his hand in the engine room Sept. 21, 2010.
Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak aircrews flew over 1,800 miles to Adak from Kodiak to conduct the hoist and transfer the patient to LifeMed Air Alaska personnel for further transport to Anchorage.
