Same Old Mistakes - Same Old Screw-Ups

How many times can any race of beings make the very same old mistakes and still expect to survive? I mean, let’s get real for a moment, there are just so many chances in life and this race of ours has pretty well used-up all of theirs, in my opinion – “What Fools, We Mortals Be!”
Our species has committed just about every conceivable crime, sin and even screw-up, that it could possibly make and yet, it still acts totally agog and surprised when it nearly obliterates itself – “Why Is That, Do You Suppose?”
Or could it possibly be that, as a species goes, we are just that naïve and maybe even all that dumb or that we are merely ordained to self-destruct before we even approach a state of mortal nirvana? “It Really Could Happen, You Know?!”
