Default Carrier agreement for The Philippines, Vietnam

Carrier agreement for The Philippines, Vietnam

Germaine de Peralta, Manila (2003-07-09)

VIETNAM and the Philippines have signed an agreement allowing carriers
from each country to land and pick up passengers at key airports. The
Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) in the
Philippines said Manila had agreed to grant unlimited seating capacity
entitlements per week for Vietnam Airline flights from Hanoi and
Danang to Manila. Vietnam Airlines would also be allowed to fly to
Cebu, Clark Field and a fourth Philippine airport that is yet to be
determined. The DoTC added that the Vietnamese government agreed to
double the maximum weekly seating entitlement for Philippine carriers
from Manila to Saigon to 2,000 seats per week.
