Justice - American Style

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM SOMETIMES DON?T WORK? The words "Double Standard" and "Kid Gloves" definitely comes to mind!

Some years back, while writing for a local paper, I had a Sheriff inform me, in a somewhat snide fashion I might add, that the ?Jails Were Loaded With Innocent People!? Not those professing innocence, mind you, but the truly innocent? And fact or not, this conjured up some disturbing visions of ?Justice, American Style!? What happens when a nation de-evolves into a system where a person can be jailed indefinitely for jay walking and get away scot-free for murder, being a traitor, or a political felon!? (Just Think about it for a moment!)

We are also a nation where vicious beasts are often glamorized and glorified both in fiction and in fact, and they don?t have to even be American Born or Domestically Bred Beasts at that!?

Hell, how many movies have you seen where gangsters and bandits (some alien born) have been immortalized in film, song, and anything but true legend? The mobsters and killers like Capone, Villa, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, Billie The Kid (his real name was Henry McCarty and not William Bonnie), and the infamous John Dillenger or Robin Hood, who really did steal from the rich, but in fact, gave most of their loot to themselves and rarely to the poor!

Hell, they have even made movies about people like Carlos the Jackal and Che (One of Castro?s right-hand men)! ?Why is it that we always seem to make ?Knights Out Of Knuckleheads!??

This (sometimes) isn?t much different in politics either, the domestic as well as foreign variety!? Hell, I just heard a piece on the tube that said that a major U.S. Magazine was considering making Osama bin Laden their "Man Of The Year?!" Granted, a person can be infamous as well as noteworthy to garner such an award, but when our sensationalist (often yellow) media, in it's zealous quest for {Pulitzer recognition), glorifies (intentionally or not), the often satanic exploits of barely-human monsters, are they not (in fact) also promoting and deifying these bastards to an impressionable and youthful America, as well as to those with a warped or easily twisted sense of values and mentality? ?And as such, are they (media) not making idols out of low-cast vermin to some mentally and/or morally retarded wannabes?!?

Well, one thing is for certain. ?A World-Wide Head Hunt Is Now Afoot!!? Those responsible for the "Insanity of International Terrorism", having flipped off (and pissed off) nearly the entire planet, are now being gifted with the limelight of infamy, and this is not a position that they relish! But not to worry, oh crazy ones, as the wheels of justice move so slowly at times as not to be even seen! As a matter of fact, some criminals have spent lifetimes free (like Mengele), or languishing behind bars, awaiting justice for decades.

And when (and if) their day of justice finally does arrive, these criminals have usually expired from natural causes or anal convolutions brought about by spending so much time bent over a prison washing machine, before they get anywhere near that "Little Green Room or Old Sparky!"

And of course, there are unfortunately, many political prisoners rotting away even within (reportedly) freedom-loving nations! And of these, there are two major varieties in my opinion! "Those locked away to keep their mouths shut (out of sight, out of mind so to speak), and those incarcerated in ?Five Star - Soup To Nuts Politically-Expediency Resort-Like Facilities! The latter being "Affluent and temporary retirement centers", designed to hold the wealthy and well placed criminals, who by virtue of fame, power, connections and/or money, enjoy the benefits of a different type of justice, one reserved for the rich and famous! (opinion)

?OOPS, Forgive Me Father, For I have Sinned!? Everyone knows that justice is always fair, genuine, and equal under the law, and that no one was ever convicted or detained (framed) for a crime that he didn?t commit!? Nor has any innocent human being (Americans included) ever been subjected to unwitting experimentation, pain, suffering, or punishment that was grotesquely un-American, ill-conceived, or even contrived as a frame-up!?

The Tuskegee Experiments, Naval Mustard Gas Testing, Radiation Injections and Exposure, Hallucinogenic Experimentations (ref: DAIG-IN 21-75, COS 385, Church Senate Reports of 1977), and Toxic Defoliants, were (according to a few self-protecting liars) never used upon Americans, many of them Servicemen, right??? Just like "Potentially Dangerous Inoculations" were (and are) "All just figments of our collective imagination", if you mistakenly believe (that is) "Certain Lying Powers That Be!?" (Where there is no truth, there is no honor!)

And for the record, I heard a lot about what we were going to do to guys like Hess, Mengele, Bormann, Milosovich, Noriega, Hussein, and a multitude of other ?World-Class Monsters? for their odious deeds! But when push came to shove, many of these villains eluded capture (and/or real punishment) for years! Some even spent decades safe, sound and in the "Lap of Luxury and Protectionism!

Unfortunately, when finally captured, many of these "Enemies of Mankind" are treated to three squares a day, and with million$ in legal defense money being expended to extricate their worthless carcasses on one technicality or another!? ?How many of the victims of these maniacs were granted these same amenities?"

If this is not a double standard, it will suffice until one comes along!!?

It's now who you know anymore it's what you know and how much you know about what you know!

Money and connections are big factors but influence can be attained without either of those if you know something they don't.

Attitude is another factor - put on a good front and you tend to be overlooked. Clothes don't make the man yet he can slide by in a crowd compared to a guy in rags.

Education is only know when someone speaks. Your core of material is truely enchanting and truer words have never been spoken but will the trend end?

Hardcore you can root them out one by one and each time another will take their place. We've seen this over and over again.

We can only hope that the evil within can be rooted and re-routed into something more productive.
