So Why Are We So Damned Surprised?

With North Korea finally admitting that it does indeed have a ?Nuclear Weapons Program?, you can bet your backside that they not only have the program in place, but indeed, they probably also have the bomb as well! Where in the hell else would all of the Soviet materials have gone after their collapse, if not to other Communist nations? ?So why the big surprise??

Word also has it that al-Qaeda is back to (near) full strength - ?no surprise there either?, considering the fact that these terrorist enclaves have a track record of slipping into the woodwork when threatened, only to emerge later, to inflict more damage!

It was also noted that ?Saddam Hussein? is again barking like a junkyard dog, much as he did back in 1990/1991. Again he is standing upon his soap box full of dates and camel shit, telling the world that should we invade, we will be defeated decisively? No doubt, he is referring to the arsenal of Chemical and Biological agents that he now possesses! Again, and redundantly so - ?no surprises here either!?

Well at least Pakistan and India have managed to pull through yet another border confrontation without blowing each other to hell! Both of these bad boys too, have a nuclear punch, be it ever so crude compared to what we have under wraps!

So what to do about these ?International Nut Cases?? Will we engage in a little pre-emptive mayhem of our own perhaps? Will the North Koreans attack the South, using nuclear bombs? Will Hussein utilize CBR to attack coalition forces in the field? ?Does the Sun rise in the east?!?

If Hussein thought that he could get away with an attack of this kind against the United States, he would not hesitate, just as he did with the Kurds and Kuwait, not to mention his little confrontation with his Iranian neighbors some time back! There is, however, ?One Little Problem? with this picture, at least as concerns the United States! Should that damned fool (Saddam) orchestrate such an attack, Iraq would (almost immediately) cease to exist, as would any other aggressor who was inclined to use Chemical, Biological or Nuclear Weapons against us! ?There is, after all, no glory or victory in oblivion!?

Will we get bloodied - HELL YEAH, as no war is ever entirely one sided! But I guarantee you this, what will be left of Iraq after such a confrontation wouldn?t be worth shoveling into a dung heap!

Only a damned fool wishes for war, and you can bet your backside that, should this occur in Iraq again, Hussein will make sure that he will not be anywhere near the scene of action! He will, as he did the last time, be dug in like a rat, many miles from the front lines! But don?t worry, Saddam, this time around - ?WE WILL GET YOU TOO!?

As you said only a damned fool wants war with this i will agree but what is so upsetting is that all the people who are calling for that (FOOLS)head Saddam has never had a shot fired at them all they know about war is what they've read in books.
Untill they see the dead and the dieing and smell the smells of the dieing they can read every book in the world and they still wont get it.
Al-Qaeda has proved that they can hit us,Iraq dosen't have anything that can hit us he's in a box keep him there. North Korea has something that mite reach us,Isay talk to them keep our power dry make sure our aim is on target. but let cooler heads take over we still mite have to go to war but give the talking a change.

For ages I have been doing commercial/industrial business with Communist and former Communist Countries and have grown weary of beating the pots and pans of ?don?t trust those folks as far as you can spit?. They want to business with me, they post hard currency in a Western Bank as a non-revocable letter of credit and post a hard currency bond in a Western Bank for the new cost of any equipment I cross the border with, period. Ya don?t do that and you are screwed, bet on it. Early on Bulgaria ripped me off for about $50, 000 worth of machinery test and diagnostic equipment that is still held in Bulgarian customs for ?inspection?. So am I surprised that North Korea slipped it to Carter and Clinton or that contemporary Vietnam rips-off anyone who is so unwise to trust them? I think not.
In our immediately previous era of sucking up to and kissing ass on these Socialist rogue nations, voices like mine were not heard or presumed to be that of some sort of whacked-out, right wing bigot/wing nut. That be me, ya sure, you bet-at least according to our all-seeing, all-knowing, mega educated weepy-seepy hearted??ta dot ta da?..I?ll say no more. Mayhaps they should try to make a living for a change rather than being a parasite and pretending to be some self-anointed cultural guru and oracle of all known things.

Well, I suppose confrontation has been a way to deal with them but I have been trying to do business with the bandits and the only way that can possibly be achieved is by making sure they pay up front. Nothing crosses a border without ironclad guarantees in a Western Bank, nothing. If Jimmy and Billary ran an international business the way they ran agreements with North Korea, they?d have gone bankrupt right from the get-go. In fairness, they seem to do reasonably well inside their own borders using their own currency. BUT, anyone offering up hard currency inside their borders is mega welcome and official exchange rates go out the window. But on the other hand, this is black-market activity and a bad news deal if caught, big time. Then again, if the exchange is made with a politically anointed ?comrade? it seems to be perfectly fine. Seems to me that the ?proletarian class struggle? is to become the individual controlling the corruption and having the greediest mouth in the food chain. I?ve never seen anyone of them that is different, but then, I haven?t seen em all either and hopefully, knock on wood, I won?t have to.
So maybe there is such a thing as a Socialist Camelot somewhere, at least institutions like UC Berkeley claim this to be true. Maybe they could give me directions as to where these Countries are located as I?d be OK to get over my very jaded view of all of them.
