Default Your point is well taken

and I defer to your wisdom. Thanks again Gimpy. It's the weekend so we probably won't get much of a response. Here's hoping come next week we will get this petition going. There are thousands of people that browse this site. This is their chance if they are friends to the veteran to sign on and help change things for the better. sis

Thumbs up Gimpy......you done good!!

I think what you have written thus far is excellent. I also think that what little sparrow has suggested is very appropriate for inclusion in the document.

Strike while the iron is "hot".... Carpe Diem!! There should be an inclusion of the statements regarding the treatment of Veterans by the VA's employees. Afterall....if it were not for the Veterans...every damn one of them would be unemployed or having to work at a real job. There is absolutely no excuse for anyone who works for the VA to mistreat a Veteran, or treat the Veteran dispespectfully or without the dignity they deserve. No excuse whatsoever.

If you view the VA in the new parlance of the "politically correct", the Veterans who use the facilities that they work in are not "patients or clients" they are customers..... and you damned well don't mistreat customers.
I have encountered less than respectful "public sector employess" who seem to be afflicted with bad attitudes....and frankly I am disinclined to tolerate the miscreants lack of concern for the people they are paid to serve. I generally speak rapidy and sternly to that individuals supervisor....and ruin their day, and in general by the time I am done...the miscreant regrets their error. I have written letters and received responses outlining the corrective actions taken.

I work in a "customer service oriented position" and my employers willnot tolerate less than a 100% satisfaction rating from the customers. I am a manager and sometimes I have to bite my tongue....but the customer comes first. And in the long run it is the best policy..... The VA needs to learn that.

Please forgive my "longwindedness".....

Ok one of the sites I normally go to is closed for renovation but here are two links to get us started. Send these links through email lists, forums, newsgroups, and any other means of contact you have with fellow veterans to gather signatures. This petition will be printed and sent to the recipient Oct. 31, 2002.

I should have some more links once I run down a few more sites.

Thanks David..

I just went to the libertyfiles.com site and signed the petition. I was number two so I am sure that it just got posted.

Once again, thanks David, you are doing great things in supporting your fellow vets.
