Blowing More Smoke Rings

We grew up knowing it - and have for many years. I recall my youth
watching a very small screen TV black & white. And the duck & cover rules -
in the early 50's. I remember the NiKEY's coming up out of the ground
in farm fields and the rocket's poised as if they were going to launch - but
after about five minutes they would go back into the ground. These were
monthly Test. I think twice a month for at least five years. That I recall
and then they shut them down and removed the rockets - and you
wouldn't even know they were there. Once that first nuke dropped
US stateside drill's were common - even in grammer school.

WGN Channel 9 in Chicago had "Warning Test" come on randomly
each week. Siren's would go off and seemed like they would never stop.
All drills - but that was common in those days.

My kid's didn't have drills I recall - at least not that I can remember.
I think they had nuke sign's showing where the shelter's were.

HC - it's coming we all know it - who will launch the first nuke and
then the next until God only knows. Is this bravado - it is to North
Korea. Will they trigger the first nuke or will it be Russia or China -
or hell - even the US?
