It's Not At All Funny

‘STOP’ for a moment and begin to realize what is at stake here – its ‘Your Nation’ people!! Wars, famine, political intrigues, monetary insecurity, violent crimes and outright mayhem, are flooding the news-waves, but unless you are going through it personally, you really have no idea!?

But this is not a flick (movie) people – it is the real thing and the dead do not merely arise anew, to peacefully resume their lives – free of hunger, minus of pain and absent of controversy and even death? And life is not always a nosegay – citizens and death is still death, as those who are involved within “The Ukraine and Elsewhere” are currently learning!!

I can remember back to the terrifying years of World War II, a time when my father and many other fathers, brothers and even uncles etc, were engaged in what was purported to be the very last time that mankind would ever kill each other off wholesale, and this in order to prove a point, among other things! But learn a lasting lesson we did not, and naturally, an army of political damned fools would crawl out from beneath the international woodwork, just as they are doing right now, to claim that they too, had a solution and the panacea to prevent this carnage from ever happening again – yeah sure?!

Granted, many of those who fought, cried and even bled, within these wars to supposedly end all future wars are to applauded for their patriotism and courage. “Whereas those who died - are merely dead and their promise is gone forever? ”And although the tears and the sorrow of those whom they left behind is real, poignant and extremely painful, history has proven (time and time again) that we have indeed learned damned little from these tempestuous ordeal – and so it remains, infinitum!!

But youth is bravery, adulthood is experience and old age (if you even make it that far), usually entails naught but regret, repentance and sorrow – “But Alas – Far Too Late!!” (by - hrt-3/2/2022)
