Angry Too Much B.S.

(more personal opinions)

So whatever happened to those good old and far simpler, days of yesteryear? To that period when all that we had to worry about was wars, mere natural disasters, and of course, those ever present political intrigues?

Nowadays, however, there seems to be nothing but bureaucratic B.S., inconsequential blabber, and incontinent rhetoric, that is often delivered-up from thousand-dollar suits and of course, what currently passes as news and entertainment – why is that, do you suppose?

The next thing that you know, actual information on the tube, will probably be preempted by such earth-shaking revelations as some zoo-monkey passing gas, or even some politician actually telling the truth – for a change?

“I still vividly remember those golden years of yore, when real newsmen, gave real people, the real scoops!” (So What Happened?)

Default I can relate to the 40's on - but the 60's changed everything

Your right as usual HC - the news isn't what it once was. In Chicago (in the 40') the Mob was the topic of the day and controlled the city (ask Daily) they had the upper hand. The media has changed its values quite a bit - and like you said - if its not front page news - it won't sell.

They extrapolate the issues and add a little meat to the report to sensationalize the readers.
TV has taken over newspapers and they also like to sensationalize for better media results.

Growing up during the end of WWII and into the Cold War - we still had underground missile(s) installation's - all around the city - and the steel mills. The cold war was going on - and everybody was working then - and the newspapers were full of news on the ongoing wars.

Today corruption has ramped. Government has turned away from it's people to more advantageous personal gains. Much like racketeering - but its now more discreet.

The world is wired for quick information to which profiteering occurs every day. The top 2% of the worlds population know this and are making fortunes from advanced information.

What I see most is that infrastructure has fallen to a crawl and of little interest to the governments. China and Japan have done wonder's to the cities where as the US has become static with little interest in its countries infrastructure. Water quality is at an all time low. Electrical systems need major updating as well as our ability for production.

We are now heavily dependent on other countries for our materials which inturn has greatly reduced our manufacturing base. High Tech has taken all the money and profits and has bought their way into our governments. It has become the most profitable money maker for our the US government officials as they get kick backs for every big deal - and the US citizens see very little if anything - except for us to purchases non-USA made products. Terrible!!!
