U.S. Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Daniel Nelson, a security force member of Provincial Reconstruction Team Farah, participates in a training exercise at Forward Operating Base Farah, Farah province, Afghanistan, Sept. 2. Soldiers regularly take advantage of training opportunities to keep their warrior skills sharp during deployment. PRT Farah's security force is made up of U.S. Army National Guard Infantrymen out of Alaska who are responsible for ensuring the safety of everyone assigned to the PRT.
