Myth Busters
I just watched an episode of Mythbusters that I would not have believed if I hadn't seen it with MY eyes.
Shooting a gun under water. They took 4 different guns and placed them underwater and did it in a way that all the air was out of the barrel. A 9mm Glock pistol 357 Magnum revolver 12 gage double barrel and a M1 Grand 30.06 The 9mm shot at some ballistic jell 2 feet away went in the jell 4 inch's The 357 went in 5.5 inches. The shotgun, Blew up, split the barrel and damaged the breach. The 30.06 went about 5 feet , bullet intact on the bottom. The only gun that blew up was the shot gun, The others worked fine, under water? That was amazing. Ron |

Did you see the one where they built a cannon out of a tree trunk? They heard about the legend of a town somewhere in the Balkans being besieged some time in the Middle Ages. The townspeople built a cannon out of a tree trunk and, when the fired it, it exploded killing several people. The mayor, in an effort to rebuild morale, said, "If it killed so many of our people, imagine how many of the enemy it killed!" (talk about a spin-doctor). So the Myth Busters got a large tree trunk (about 1' in diameter), braced it with iron hoops, drilled a bore large enough to accomodate a 1# stone cannon ball, loaded it with a half # of powder and fired it. The ball went about a mile and the cannon held. They put in a full # of powder and did it again, successfully. Then they put in 5# of powder and blew it all to hell. Lots of fun to watch.
