Bazaar offers opportunity to support community while shopping

Looking for a way to spend your weekend and support your local community the Lakenheath Enlisted and Civilian Spouses Club and the Officer and Civilian Spouses Club will be hosting the Lakenheath Holiday Bazaar this weekend at RAF Lakenheath.

Friday, September 30 4 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, October 1 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, October 2 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will be a selection of goods from all over Europe and right here in the United Kingdom with 35 new vendors and over 70 returning favorites. There are vendors offering everything from antiques, artwork, china, jewelry, children’s personalized gifts, woodcrafts, pottery, seasonal gifts, cheese, wine, beer and much more.
In addition there will be over a dozen food vendors providing hamburgers, lumpia, nachos, bbq pork, chilli cheese fries, funnel cakes, brats and more.
The Bazaar committee wants to remind visitors to bring the whole family out as there will be plenty for children with carnival rides, a petting zoo and other amusements.
The proceeds raised from the event benefit both the base and local communities. The funds make it possible for the OCSC and ECSC to provide scholarships for high school students and adults and make donations to support other organizations such as the East Anglia air ambulance, Boy Scouts, Girl scouts, the Barracuda swim club, the base schools, local community schools, the East Anglia Children’s Hospice, and the Airman’s food pantry
Event is open to U.S. military ID card holders, base-authorized personnel, and their guests.
Dollars, pounds and checks accepted.
