A and C companies have linked at the bottom of the hill. Those guys (173) are some Bad ass fighters. At one point the NVA cut A and C off from each other and what ever unit was about 1/2 way up the hill was taking fire from 360 degree's. Night time you could see traces comming and going in all directions. I quite using tracers cause it gives you away. This afternoon we get resupply cause the LZ isn't so hot after last night. I understand we will be leaving on the resupply chopper. Yea us.
This after noon came and Medivac was all that showed up. Later this afternoon some resupply came and we got on the chopper to go to Dak To. as we were leaving one of the 173rd Guys gave a Thumbs up to us, I felt good to be leaving and good that he thought we did an OK job. I hoped they would make it threw the night. Ron |

Thanks for sharing these daily personal memories of those days, Ron. I, for one, greatly appreciate them.
Everybody that fought around Dak To/Kontum were some bad asses. We had to be.
