Default NORFOLK (Feb. 28, 2012)

NORFOLK (Feb. 28, 2012)

Sailors handle de-energized cables on the flight deck aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in preparation for a magnetic treatment (DEPERM) at Lambert Point Magnetic Treatment Facility. The DEPERM process reduces the electromagnetic signature of the ship in order to limit its exposure to undersea mine detection.
