Thumbs down Obama's Moonbat-in-Charge: Against Guide Dogs and Hunting, For Animal Plaintiffs

Obama's Moonbat-in-Charge: Against Guide Dogs and Hunting, For Animal Plaintiffs

Meet Cass Sunstein. He's a noted animal rights activist. He's dead set against hunting and sees the keeping of pets as a form of slavery. He's been a strong advocate for the concept that animals can sue humans, he's adored by the likes of PETA, he's a Harvard Law School professor and he's about to be America's new Regulatory Czar.

Be concerned. Be very concerned. As discouraging as it is to think of a zealot like that corrupting minds at an institution of higher learning, it's far more alarming to think of his ability to corrupt institutions en masse in his new appointed position as head of the White House's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

A quick search of his website articles reveals gems like Why We Should Celebrate Taxes, an homage to tax day in which he opines that we owe our liberty to taxation. His book The Partial Constitution recieved this comment from Bookwatch:
Sunstein presents a major, new interpretation of the Constitution and considers the bias and partial results of its present interpretation in a lively, involving survey blending history, politics and legal considerations
Greg Ivers of Law and Politics Book Review:
Professor Sunstein has written a book that is remarkable in its intellectual ballast...The Partial Constitution offers a sensitive and evocative contribution that will serve as a foundational reference point in the need to forge a new paradigm of constitutional scholarship.
Townhall.com says:
Here's what Sunstein wrote in his 2004 book, Animal Rights: Current Debates and New Directions:
"[A]nimals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives ... Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients' behalf.
The Center for Consumer Freedom says:
"Sunstein supports making sport hunting illegal, and completely phasing out the consumption of meat. And if that's not nutty enough, he's actually in favor of giving animals the legal right to sue people.
While the media cheers the appointment of such "moderates" as Hillary Clinton, and the pretense of media investigation into the Geithner drama distracts us, the reality is that moonbats like Cass Sunstein are about to flood Washington with literally trillions of dollars in government "solutions." One hopes the rest of us don't drown.
