Operation Outlaw Destroyer (July 2004)

Soldiers of the 1st Infanty Division launched Operation Outlaw Destoryer in July 2004. The operation was designed to prevent insurgents from gaining weapons and munitions from known ammunition storage points.

Soldiers targeted ammunition storage points west of Tikrit and used a M1A1 Abrams Panther to safely clear areas ahead of dig and demolition teams.
