Operation Abilene (08 December 2003)

On December 8, 2004 the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division executed Operation Abilene in the Al Anbar Province. This operation in the Al Anbar province was designed to capture or eliminate anti-coalition forces and increase security. Soldiers initiated 12 raids that resulted in the capture of 12 individuals and a number of various weapons.
