What December 7th means to me
When most people think of December 7th, it is in rememberence of Pearl Harbor. I too think of that however the first thing that comes to my mind is that December 7, 1967 was the day I met Tom (Frisco). We were at Oakland Army Base, I walked in to the EM Club and he was at a table with his friends and some of mine. I sat down next to him, struck up a conversation about the 101st and the rest is history. We got married 2 weeks later and will be celebrating our "40th" wedding anniversary on December 23rd. I have never regreted that meeting.
So, while others are thinking of the terrible things that happened on December 7th take a minute to think of our romantic December 7th meeting.
