WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Well THAT sure made my day!!!
personally, I think the $$$ should go to the children of the war. Administered by trustees of course. Really, once everything is all done and said and that country 'cleaned up', it should go for schools, hosptials, etc. Things the children will need. Just my 2 cents worth. Susan ps... I suspect those soldiers who captured him would refuse the $$ anyways... they would just say they were doin' their job for the democratic world.....

Ron,
I don't think getting him dead or alive will impact the attacks on our troops that much with a flood of new martyr's coming to join the fight. The insurgents , whether internal Saddam loyalist's or "foreign fighters", are well organized and financed already and seem to have a game plan in place. I'm sure that this is a big demoralizing blow to them but I'm also just as sure that the attacks will continue. The 25 mil? Who knows .Did an Iraqi tip us off , or was this just the fruits of good old boots on the ground being aggressive searching. Military intelligence? Maybe but we all know what an oxymoron that term is. Dolling it out to the troops? Yea right ,like that might happen. The bottom line is maybe no one individual will get the 25 mil. How about using it to set up a fund for the families and children of our KIA? Bill

PEOPLE -
Only time will tell if the attacks against our troops will slacken or cease! However, the same concern was held after WWII, was it not? And although there was some retaliation, the frequency soon abated!? With Hussein gone, many within the Middle East will (I hope?) soon see the futility of further resistance! Especially, when Iraq begins to rise out of the ashes anew! VERITAS

My Guess Is:
My guess is there will be a flurry of attacks in retaliation then they'll fade away. I hope it stops right now. But retaliation is such a strong motive for the Muslim.
Good News! Especially for our troops in Iraq. Keith |

Ron.....
In the Arab mind a dead martyr is infinitely more important that a live one who claims to seek martyrdom. It?s a practical arrangement as the one who hollers the loudest and postures the most is likely to be heir apparent plus the road block to a career path is removed. Being captured in such an inglorious manner isn?t going to ring any chimes but there will be the obligatory backlash, etc. The real rabid weasel we need to grab up is that red-hared Mohamed Al Douri (sp?) as that one has always been the bite behind Saddam?s bark. Al Douri isn?t going to go down so meekly and it?s my guess that his coming martyrdom will put him well ahead of Saddam on the popularity and cause chart as he is the one who has been running the terrorist campaign, not Saddam.
The people of Baghdad are celebrating right now and that is good but in a bit they will be back to grim reality and will have to keep pressing on. With Saddam and sons out of the way I believe we can safely say we have reached the end of the beginning but the journey is still long and dangerous. Congratulations Fourth Infantry Division, Good work, and God speed. Salute! Scamp
