?Who Saved Who Knows How Many Coalition Lives? by firing over the head of a prisoner to attain critical information on the planned ambush of our troops, is still under friendly fire!!
As a matter of fact, the gent (Lt. Colonel Alan West, Fourth IV) was fined $5,000 for allegedly standing by, watching a few of his troopers beat the hell out of the Iraqi Bum! Add to this the fact, that a major news rag that I just called to attain a little more data about the incident, themselves decried West?s actions, and you definitely get the idea that our troops are being singled out for discipline for doing things that are mild in comparison to what the enemy is (and has in the past) undertaken!
What did they expect West to do - sit back and watch his troopers systematically murdered and take it on the chin! Why is it that some demand that our guys play the part of a ?Goody Two Shoes?, while this enemy continues to do damned well as he pleases! And for the record, where was this human rights outrage when our own
?Powers That Be? experimented upon our own troops from the mid-fifties to late 60s and beyond (DAIG-IN 21-75)? Oh, I guess to some in the higher echelon felt that this was OK, it being our own kids and all that were being so abused -

In my opinion, both Alan West and Michael New alike, should have been applauded for their stance, and if those in power do not like my retrospect -
then to hell with them and their constant attacks against our own military forces!!
