Default Psycovet buys Omaha beach veterans a beer

I said I'd post the pictures --here they are.
This is an EXTREMELY rare picture--how many people buy a whole battlefield a beer? but thats not why its so rare--Its not often you see a picture of the ol lrrp buying a beer, less often do you see one of him pouring it out on the ground but even LESS than that do you see him doing all this for someone else.
Sometimes weird things just seem like the right thing to do.

James

You heartless bastard!!!!

I asked my brother to pour a bottle of jack on my grave - he told me he was gonna strain it through his kidneys first.

Default John Steele Hung Here

This was the actual church in St Mere Eglise where paratrooper John Steele--played by Red Buttons in The Longest Day--hung for hours on D Day morning
There is a hotel in St Mere Eglise named after Steele

James, what you have done in your travels and how you have written about them has meant so much to us here on the Patriot Files. I feel as if I have been there with you every place you have been. It has been healing for me and I am sure it has been for others. Thanks bud. Fred
