In the event that you have not noticed, we are beginning to slip as the paramount world power. This is not the way that it has to be, but rather, what we are allowing to happen!

Once upon a time, We were the innovators, the doers, the maker of miracles and the dreamer of impossible dreams. “We” made the molds, we set the rules and we created an “Empire of Democracy that all sought to emulate!

“So what happened?” How were we overtaken in many arenas, done one better in others, and literally expectorated upon by international entities, many of whom, we rescued, time and time again, in the past? And like many a mentor, some of those whom we have pulled free of the gutters of deprivation and ignorance, now seek to change us into the same prototype that literally ruined their own native lands!

“Live among us, enjoy our freedoms, add to our greatness and obey our laws, but do not attempt to change that which is proven and workable!”

We had better face the fact that : “There are no new worlds to inhabit or to shape!” For better or worse, this is it - the last great hope of mankind. And if we obliterate this bastion of humanity, there may indeed be no place left for mankind in the Cosmos?

As an old commercial that I saw years ago pointed out - if we continue in the philosophy that goes: “What a beautiful country, let’s besmirch it, then the only refuge left for mankind to take shelter in, both physically and morally, may be the very caves that housed us to begin with!

Still, Rick, believe that the word: "WE" is used to often and to loosely.
A good example being: "...what WE are allowing to happen".

"WE The People" do not nor ever decree detrimentally stupid & nationally-suicidal policies, laws & regulations. Only the most convincing at duping people and/or The Political Winners dictate such things. WE just meekly obey or suffer the consequences,...WHEREAS foreign nationals need not.

The new (actually almost 1 year old) Democrat Congress being a perfect example of how lordly perverted & misused America's so-called(?): "Democracy" has become.
Maybe if WE changed from being Politically-Correct (epitome of an oxymoron) type of governance to a much more honest, sensible, practical & less dictatorial People-Correct form, things might look up, turn around and even get better for-a-change.

Regardless, and nit-picken aside, I hope you don't mind my considering you as a sane friend & comrade to just another disgusted one of: "WE The (Schnook$)" and/or Politicos'

I would suggest that anyone that cares, to do a little research and see which countries in the world have a) the most cash dollars on hand b) the most US Treasury bonds c ) the most gold reserves and d) the most oil reserves...

By any measure, we are SOL.

That's one way of looking at things.

However, and just maybe, all those countries you alluded to and
holding vast sums of U.S. Treasuries are actually the ones whom
will instead be: "SOL"?

Hell, if The American Taxpayer NEVER got back tons of monies/loans
RIGHTFULLY DUE after WWII (politicians generously forgave most of war loans),
why should The America Taxpayer be even concerned in the slightest..........
about being squeezed financially by same Dead Beat Countries?
