Default Thank You, Sen. Durbin!

For giving us a lesson in moral relevance, that a terrorist subjected to 100 degrees Fahrenheit is the equivalent to the 1200 degrees Fahrenheit that the Jews experienced in Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps.

For the lesson in moral relevance, that a terrorist forced to listen to hours of rap "music" is the equivalent of the dying screams of 2 million Cambodians that Pol Pot massacred.

For the lesson in moral relativism, that equates the culturally-appropriate meals served to Muslim terrorists to the starvation level diet of the Soviet gulags.

For making your statements that have given aid and support to our enemies, while at the same time, helping define the Democrat party as willing sympathizers and supporters of terrorists by their failure to condemn your despicable words.

"Ditto" Scout My sentiments too . I think our POW's that were held in the Hanoi Hilton for several years would gladly trade the conditions of Gitmo or Abu-Garib over the hospitality of Ho Chi Min any day of the week ! And they were uniformed soldiers not the terrorist skum that we have in Gitmo. But I guess to the liberals being insensitive to a piece of paper (Koran) is worse then the treatment men like Senator McCain received at the hands of the VC.

At a time; March 2000, I really sucked it up, big time and went to the Holocaust museum in Phnom Phnen just to see what dirty secret has been hidden from the US for so long. My worst suspicions were exceeded by light years. One of the milder forms of prolonged death was women?s nipples being ripped out by searing hot tongs and it goes down hill from there. Then more recently there was the remains of a collection / prison/brutalization center where the Soviet KGB thugs rounded up political miscreants for rail transport to the Soviet Siberian Gulags, and that was right outside my office window. Rail head, rails, barn-like sally ports and all, total human traffic infrastructure.
Then my students told me about the systematic brutalization, rape and murder at the hands of the KGB thugs and they told me about their own relatives that were victims,. and were talking about a few decades worth. And over four months, they offered that information and was not solicited by me. With the journey incomplete, I went, voluntarily to a former KGB run extermination center that is usually not accessible or even talked about. I don?t want to talk about it either, but someday I have to let my fury out, but not today, maybe not ever.
But of course, the Senator from Illinois; and presumably the people of Illinois, wish to redefine the bar via the mechanism of Liberal group think. I do not represent myself as an expert on the issues of the human deprecation but have seen some stuff. So to me, it seems reasonable that I would want to see some evidence that our troops are on the same page or book or volume or library as the SS/Gestapo, KGB/NKVD, Kamer Rouge. So let?s put it up, I?m all eyes and ears

I wondered who would light-off the once successful attack the troops scenario again. I guess it was just a matter of time, and kaboom, here we go once again. Hey VN Vets is this deja vu all over again or what. The spitters are enabled, have a full mouth of black vile a building. Alas troops, incoming, be brave, keep your heads down and keep the faith in those who have walked the path before you .
Good morning Vietnam, long-time no see, eh.

The question is simply what level of degredation, torture, brutality, and mental cruelty, should the US Servicemen and women be legally ( by our laws and International agreement ) able to inflict on our prisoners, how ever they are described....

We can go to the Old Testament and right on down to Rwanda etc and etc and man's evil nature will never change. It will probably just get worse. there are over 150 countries..take your pick...The government's story about 9/11 is a fraud. I am not posting this here to debate that...You have your view and I and millions of our citizens have mine. They lied their way into Iraq, and would love to do the same thing in Iraq and Syria. At the very least the poor souls in Gitmo should be treated as POWs...

I read something yesterday and will find it that there are over 500,000 illegal aliens running loose in the country WHO HAVE COMMITTED CRIMES and haven't been caught. (see below )

Why don't we concentrate on catching and deporting these terrorists who are in our neighborhoods now ???

If a foreign country had done what we have done in Gitmo, put the pics all over the place, and punished only a corporal, and let the General in charge go, you folks would be mad as hell....

just IMHO.

Larry

AP: Nearly 200 Illegal Immigrants Arrested

BOSTON (AP) - Nearly 200 illegal immigrants who were ordered deported for committing crimes were arrested during a six-day undercover sweep across New England, federal authorities said.

Dozens of federal, state and local law-enforcement officers began a search Friday for the roughly 200 people targeted in the sweep; by Wednesday afternoon, they had arrested at least 187 illegal immigrants.

Authorities planned a Thursday news conference to discuss the operation, believed to be the largest of its kind staged by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement regional field office, said Bruce Chadbourne, ICE's New England field director.

Those arrested had served time in prison or jail for a wide range of crimes, including attempted murder, rape, child molestation and arson, authorities said.

Many illegal immigrants aren't immediately deported after serving time because local officials fail to notify federal authorities of the convicts' release.

"Some of them have gone through the criminal justice process, and we were not even aware of it," Chadbourne said. "(State prison officials) are not experts in immigration law. That's where we come in."

Last year, ICE arrested 10,982 of an estimated 500,000 illegal immigrants considered fugitives after they were ordered deported, according to Chadbourne.

The number of arrests could rise sharply this year: Homeland Security officials recently announced plans to increase the number of ICE fugitive apprehension teams from 18 to 38 within the next two months, he said. Each team consists of roughly seven agents

Just a word from the front lines. Just had my 2 Psyc Tech Corpsmen return from 6 months at the Nazi, Chamar-Rouge, Gulag, called Gitmo. I asked them how they feel about the torture they inflicted on the poor terrorist incarcerated there. Their reply...."Hell Mr Lane, they live better and eat better than we do."

Something MUST be done about this! I say send them all to a blue state to live amongst the population. How's bout Durbin's home town.

Anyone who has read at least two pages of the History of the World by any reputable author and historian will know that the crimes of the Nazis, their Soviet counterparts, and their latter day incarnations of Cambodian descent are almost beyond the comprehension of normal people. Hopefully, the people of Illinois will remember Durbin's insults to America and our warriors. My hope for today is that a terrorist moves in the house next door to him.

And Scamp is so on-target, once again, or as usual: the vilification of our warriors, however slightly veiled by pompous speeches on the US Senate floor, coupled with the insidious attacks by the mainstream media are deja-vu all over again, harkening us back to the Vietnam war days.

And a final word to Larry: don't try to hijack my thread with your delusional paranoia and conspiratorial crap about 9-11. Post that drivel elsewhere for all your tinfoil helmet wearing fellow-travellers to wallow in.

That is not the question... because it is not remotely possible, by law, nor by any means.

It's like porn, everybody knows it when they see it... and we ain't seen much, if any, yet.

Sickos are gonna be sickos no matter what... we do our best to keep them out of uniform. Once in awhile, one slips by.

Then we catch 'em, and deal with it.

As for Durbin... what Scout and Scamp said.

Well, today I fired off an email to Senator Durbin and this is what I wrote:

Dear Senator Durbin,

I am greatly disappointed that a United States Senator would compare our soldiers at Guantanamo to Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. A cold or hot room and loud rap music in no way compares with gas chambers, starvation or being shot.

You owe our troops an apology. I hope it will be forthcoming real soon.I am a Retired SSgt in the USAF and I take your remarks personally. I had friends blown up at Kobal Towers in Daharan Saudi Arabia. They would much prefer the Loud Rap music and cold and heat extremes for a temporary point of time to the Death they received at the hands of the Folks you are defending , "Terrorist" whose whole Jihad is to Kill each an every US Service member stationed in Iraq and Afganistan. We veterans thought Jane Fonda gave aid and comfort to the enemy during war time but Sir, you take the Cake !
Sincerley A Veteran,
Jerry Watkins

Latest news is that Durbin is crawfishin', a Southern term for moving sideways. He says that he was 'misinterpreted', which is another way of trying to tell us how uninformed we poor voters are. Hate to remind him, but we didn't misinterpret him, we are not uninformed, and hopefully, there will be enough peole in Illinois still pissed at him to defeat his reelection effort. I suspect that the Reid/Pelosi/Dean troika had a 'come-to-Jesus' meeting with little Dickie Durbin, and he was told to back off. Too late. We now know what type of snake he truly is.

PS to Jerry: great letter!!
