It was bad today 4th December. High winds lot of fires out of control. I'm okay where I am, just a lot of thick smoke at the moment. Thanks for the well wishes.

I saw news coverage of the fires near Sydney on TV last night. It looks like you're living near the gates of Hell. The reporter said that at least one of the fires may have been intentionally set. Is that statement accurate?

I wish you well during this prolonged period of drought and the subsequent wildfires in Australia.

It's amazing how some people get their rocks off lighting fires. It's a terible thing to say but a number of the volunteer firefighters have been convicted in the past for lighting fires.

High temps. and low humidity caused most of these I think and the careless cigarette thrown from cars.

I'm not sure about the ones deep in the bush.
