Default Some misplaced photos

Just found my misplaced photos of the 60th Anniversay of Pearl Harbor. I was honored to be invited by the San Diego Pearl Harbor Survivors Assoc. to shoot photos during the ceremony on Oahu.

When I have time, I'll find a more to upload.

The following photo was taken on Dec. 7, 2001, at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, aka, Punchbowl Cemetery during the anniversary ceremonies.

Default Another photo

At the 60th of Pearl Harbor, many New York Fire Fighters, Police, and EMT workers attended the ceremonies.... The emotion was thick, and the reverence clear.

Default On a lighter note...

Two days before the ceremonies on the 7th, we toured the island of Oahu, and stopped by "Hilo Hattie's"... the most famous Hawaiian shirt shop...thousands of shirts and stuff.

As the crowd of Pearl Harbor Survivors stampeded off the bus and through the store, I shot the following photo.

Photo: Jack McCarron, the only living survivor of the USS Arizona in San Diego. Jack is a great man, and takes his membership in the PHSA very seriously. Here, he is digging deep to find the perfect color shirt for his "Uniform of the Day" Dec. 5, 2001

I met Jack two years ago a Memorial Service in Lynwood, IL. I thanked him for his service and was proud to shake his hand. I think he like that - but I'm sure he's heard that before. But it made me feel good.
