Unhappy Closed

I can tell you this you northerners. I just came inside from my morning talk with Him and this sucks. Fayetteville, Georgia is closed today.
There's an inch of ice on the ground and it's still raining and it's freezing as soon as it hits the ground.

Stick,

Are you ever talking to the wrong person! MA has, officially, the heaviest snowfall in 140 years! For the past two weeks, the daytime high temperatures have been below freezing. Water mains have been bursting all over the place. Rivers are clogged with ice and are threatening to overflow their banks. Auto parts stores are running out of batteries, anti-freeze, and windshield washer fluid. Tow truck businesses are busy towing wrecks from multiple accidents, many involving jack-knifed tractor trailers.

And you're worried about a little ice that will melt in a day or two!?

That stuff is commonplace around here. We just came out of -21deg. Snow is usually a 12" dusting and Mass. drivers play pingpong with the guardrails on our interstates. We usually need about 2' of snow before we close schools. NAPA sells a special 7,000,000 cranking amp battery for sub zero temps. Well maybe not that big...but hey, as long as the beer is cold and there is a warm fire going, life is good.

Lightbulb Snow

In December we were at our older sons in-law?s house at Palm Coast Florida. One night around 10 PM I stepped outside to have a cigarette. There is a canal behind the house. Walked toward the canal, just wandering around. Then discovered I was about 10 feet away from an 8 foot alligator. When I flipped the cigarette butt at his face he slipped back into the water.

Lots of snow can be annoying, especially when there are southerners on our roads. But snow never bit me, that there gator could have - Let It Snow!
And remember smoking could be hazardous to your health.

John, as you remember from your days in Jersey, give me a foot of snow rather than an inch of ice. Keep that fireplace going. I got our wood stove going so well last night, Annette was walking around in a t-shirt. All part of my plan.

Stay healthy,
Andy

Even an inch of ice can be tolerable if you know how to drive on it. Down South, the only thing they know to do with ice is to cool their bourbon and juleps.
