It's to bad some group doesn't make a stand on the Illegal immigration going on with a refusal to pay income tax. If it's ok to break one federal law (coming into this country illegally) it can not be that bad to break federal laws.
Or maybe a law suite against the government for aiding criminals. The law enforcement community in this country are sworn to uphold the laws of the land, SOOOOOOO, Do it.
Every community in this country has a place where illegals hang out, Law enforcement needs to do there job. Just because a local cop says they can't doesn't mean they can't, it's just a cop-out (so to speak). If a local cop seen a Federal bank being robbed they could also say they can't.
The government can only make laws, Police officers have to enforce the laws on the books. NOT just the ones they feel like enforcing.

Unlike firemen where they go to the fire, put water on it, then go home. Cops can only enforce the laws for the state that they have jurisdiction in. Federal banks being robbed also fall under state statute which gives the cops authority. This investigation will be turned over to the FBI where they will work with local authorities

As with ANY federal crime, The crime is covered by state statutes.
It's just a matter of paperwork. Firemen have nothing to do with law enforcment.
So I guess what your saying is that if someone was standing in front of you with a sign that says I came into this country illegaly, you would do nothing? Some federal laws can be broke and others you enforce? Thats some power you have there Bob.

The only thing that can be done with illegals in this state is to detain and try and locate INS (ICE) If they dont respond, they're free to go. There are no state laws pertaining to illegal imigrants here

You can justify it either way if you want to.
Your not upholding any state laws pertaining to illegal immigrants.
You would be upholding a federal law. If INS doesn't want to come and get them, then make an issue out of it, Call Fox news. It's there job (INS) to handle Illegals in our country and it's your job to detain them for INS. If INS doesn't want to do there job then that should be brought to the publics eye.
It seems every one in law enforcement wants to be so nice to everyone else in law enforcement. If someone on your force was letting criminals go free you would rat them out, wouldn't you? If someone on a federal force is responsible for criminals being set free then they should also be ratted out to the public.
The place where this illegal immigration meats the public is with local law enforcement, If the local law does nothing it just gets bigger.
I'm sure you do a fine job for your community but if and when you let illegals go because INS doesn't respond, then the fine job you do doesn't extend to the country.
