Son back to Iraq

My boy came home for 2 weeks leave. I really enjoyed his stay and hated to see him have to return. He said moral was up at his camp. That the news media blows a lot of smoke. I told him that is what sells their papers.
Just pray he returns all in one piece and with a mind that is not as nearly as distorted as his fathers was upon his return.

You must be so proud of him. I am glad he was able to get home during leave. God Bless and keep him, he will be in our prayers.

It's people like us that make the young people like my boy. That is why we are on this site. I appreciate your words and feelings. I tell him every chance I get how proud we are of him and the job he is doing. He is young in age but, he has matured beyond belief. A few years back he thought a whole lot different about life, happiness and the world. Now he sees it all very different.

I appreciate your prayers and support. He is told many times that we all are proud and support him and his buddies. He also knows well that Dad's past experiences aren't the same as his.
I am so glad that our servicemen and women today get a hand shake, a prayer, a package or just a thought from the American Society. They deserve what some of us never saw. I plan to make sure my boy and any other young soldier, sailor or marine I come in contact with knows, HE is what makes my world go around.
