Got off duty this morning
Had a very had night last night, Stopped by the store and picked up a 6 pack of MGD and a stake for the grill.
That responcible person thing is getting to me. Sometimes I wish I could sit in the back of the truck. life is easier back there. Ron

I heard the season's starting early out in Cali. My hats off to you. One of my brother's best friends is heading up at crew out at Lassen Park as a Ranger/Fire fighter. I hear from him nearly everday in the winter...usually snowed in for 4-5 months. I almost never hear from him once the roads clear enough for the yahoos to make the trek to the wilderness.
Just stay safe down there Ron, your are doing God's work. DL

Ron,
It's the rat race that catches up to ya. I have those feelings more and more with each year. Burn out - I think they call it. Plus its knowing how short we're getting with each year. You did the right thing - I can relate to the stress its a thing that we all carry some more than others. Take it day by day and you will work through it. Remember there is only so much you can do and if other's drop the ball you can't cover up for them all the time regardless of the consequences. I wish you well get plenty of rest and stop once an awhile and smell the roses.
