Question World At War

It may not be what you want to hear, and a ?World at War? is not necessarily a ?WORLD WAR?, but have no doubts about it, for as long as some flaming maniac streaks across the midway of life, people will inevitably die for the greed and ambitions of others!

There is, however, a creature that is just as bad (in his own way) as the war monger itself! Without a legion of mindless lackeys, yes men, and perverted mentalities, no war could get up enough steam to even blow the whistle on a model train!

So what does it take to start a war, to get involved in a war, or to keep a war going? First it takes a cause, right or wrong. Secondly, it takes a mouth (or group there-of) to infuriate the masses. Thirdly, it takes a war machine to produce the weapons of human and material destruction. And last but not least, it takes patriotic fervor, righteously directed or even misplaced!

Once this is all set into motion, it takes a political mechanism to control the flow of facts and propaganda. And even a lie becomes a fact to many, when properly manipulated and extended. And most of all, it takes the media, the media, the media, to drive a message home!!

Ever since the Spanish American War, and probably long before that, the world media has gleefully indulged in ?Mass Yellow Journalism!? Capture the minds and the spirit, and the body soon falls into line, so to speak!

As a matter of fact, we helped to teach the world how to rattle the saber, but more often than not, our ?Military Outcries? were justified and directed toward survival and peace. Isn?t that a strange statement indeed - ?sometimes you have to blow the bastards away in order to regain peace!??

We were left no choice in the matter during World Wars I and II in my opinion!? Usually, but not always however, it only takes a single (bloody) lesson to insure that your enemy gets the message and passes the course! Such, apparently, is not the case with Iraq and a scant few other Middle Eastern Bastions of Depravity!

This ?Walrus-Looking - Dune-Monkey of Iraq (Jackass-Saddam)? is a mule of a different color, and we have ourselves (at least partially) to blame for his resurgence (Second Breath). What, after all, would have happened had we (after 7 December 1941), stopped at the Philippines. Or in the ETO (Europe), had we called it a day at the Siegfried Line?

Any time that you leave an enemy (any enemy) intact, all that you have done is given him the chance to rebuild, lick his wounds, get pissed off, and figure out ways to hit you again without making the same mistakes twice! ?Believe it or not, An enemy also learns from defeat!!!"

So here we go again, out into ?Harm?s Way!?

Is it necessary - YES..

Should it have been totally taken care of the first time - YES

Will we suffer casualties again - YES

Will Hussein and his motley crew die this time around - "THEY HAD DAMNED WELL BETTER", or the message that we send to other despots around the world will be written in invisible ink!

If we fought (1991) merely to push the disease (Hussein and Terrorism) into remission, then we failed in our bloody and costly endeavor! No disease that is not totally eradicated will remain dormant forever! ?It will return, it will mutate, and it will kill the host!!?

And above all, remember this - ?In the Middle East, one does not have to win a war to emerge the victor, he has merely to survive!!?

?HUSSEIN MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO ESCAPE AGAIN!!?

VERITAS
