By: Today News - 02-07-20 Re: https://www.today.com/video/smithson...am-78304837506 Video - make sure you have your sound on: Kicking off a new series of reports on the treasures in “America’s attic,” the Smithsonian, Harry Smith profiles retired U.S. Navy Commander Al Carpenter, for whom one particular exhibit holds powerful memories: the clothes he wore during his more than six years of captivity in Vietnam. Carpenter & McCain and many many more were tortured but were held there for 6 years or more years. And still many more missing! It's tough to watch this but it hits home seeing this survivor telling his story. God Bless all that serve and to those we've lost you are not forgotten. Boats
