Pistols,
During the past few months I have picked up the following pistols, Walther P-38 9mm, Yugo M-70 in 7.65mm, P-64 in 9mm Makarov, and have my eye on a Arge Browning Hi-Power in 9mm. This one gun a Month is a pain in the rear, not like I have all the time in the world.
How about you guys ? Whats new with you ? |

Just spent $2,200 on a very clean Mod. 1855 Harpers Ferry Rifled Musket in .58 Cal. with the Maynard Tape Priming System AND the patch box that makes it worth about double the regular piece without the patchbox. All original and not screwed with. Lasst month I spent $850.00 on a Colt SAA in .38-40 with "Screw in Frame" made in 1884. The pistol is worn and has been buffed but has a shootable bore and still has all the markings.

I sure would like to see a picture of the Colt SAA in .38-40. Are you going to shoot it ? Reason I ask is some of the Grandsons of Confederate Army Vets shoot theirs on occasion.
I usally will get out of the way when someone shoots a 150 year old gun. |

Soon as I can charge up the digital I'll post pictures of both of my new toys. Also have a SAA in 32-20 from 1897 that's just about MINT with 100% case colors on the frame and hammer. I intend to shoot them all and have purchased some black powder .38-40 ammo to keep the old "Screw-in-Frame" from coming apart.
I don't own a gun I haven't shot including an old Nathan Starr 1816 Flintlock Musket in .69 cal. that kicks like a "Mule" with the standard load of 70 grains of FF. (Can't hit shit with it though because it's smooth bore and I'm half blind anyway) |

Wow, what a good looking piece. You have good taste. I can't afford what that pistol is worth. I stay with military weapons mostly from World War 2.
