Mercifully, next week is a bye for the Bears. WE, THE FANS, ALSO HAVE THE WEEK OFF!

Back in the days of McMahon, my wife was one of the biggest Bears fans to be found anywhere. Now she's just a casual observer of the passing football scene.

I think the parity thing kinda ruined football, but that's my opinion. I don't think any .500 team should go to the playoffs.

When Payton was playing it used to be joked that the Packers had stolen the Bears' playbook, which said: PM, PR, PL, P. (Payton up the middle, Payton to the right, Payton to the left, Punt.) Now it seems like the same thing with Thomas. Third & 20? Well, give it to Thomas for a run up the middle! That'll fool everyone!

Sure understand what your saying about announcers. Back when the Celtics were the Celtics we would watch the games on TV and turn off the sound, then put on the radio and listen to a guy named Johnny Most. In his gravel-live voice he's the one who told the world Havliceck Stole The Ball.

On TV you would here, "Bird gets the ball, he goes to his left, he shoots, scores". On the radio it was, "Bird get a pass from DJ, he diddles, he fiddles, he stops, he pops, nothin' but net, it's another three"! God we miss Johnny.
