...How do they taste / ever tried one, and I'm sure their protected, but I don't know which one would be better, the kangaroo, or the ostrich ? ...

...and it's probably a good thing that they don't have antlers, they kinda look like a fat whitetail for flatlanders...

Sophie and Shirley, two young kangaroos in an adult community, are curious about the latest arrival in their building -- a quiet, nice looking gentleman who keeps to himself.

Shirley says, "Sophie, you know I'm shy... Why don't you go over to him at the pool and find out a little about him. He looks so lonely."

Sophie agrees, and later that day at the pool, she walks up to him and says, "Excuse me, mister. I hope I'm not prying, but my friend and I were wondering why you looked so lonely."

"Of course I'm lonely," he says, "I've spent the past 20 years in prison."

"You're kidding! What for?"

"For killing my third wife. I strangled her." "What happened to your second wife?" "I shot her."

"And, if I may ask, your first wife?"

"We had a fight and she fell off a building."

"Oh my," says Sophie. Then turning to her friend on the other side of the pool, she yells, "Yoo hoo, Shirley. He's single."

Default How ironic

How ironic that our Coat of Arms has depicted upon it two Australian icons. The kangaroo and the emu. Yet these two animals are regarded as vermin by the introduced human species and food by the indigenous ones. I've said before in this web site that there are more of these native animals in Oz than there were when the first Europeans set foot on this GREAT continent. The introduced human animals may have wiped out some species but that is the Darwinian Theory anyway with any species.

At least we in Oz don't stoop to label female body parts after wonderful animals. Not that often both are beautiful but surely some respect is in order for any animal.

We hunt kangaroo not merely for sport, but for food. Emu is a bit tough but their eggs are equivalent of 12 hen's eggs. They are great in cakes & pastries. Kangaroo meat is very healthy. Wild but mild. Almost no colesterol and better THAN any native American game.

We only protect animals that are endangered - we don't need to protect everything we are a responsible people. It wasn't Australians who did the damage to MY land it was the British, the Dutch, the french and any other introduced rapist or carpetbagger. Those of us who were born here respect the land and our natural resources, which includes native flora and fauna.

For those who are not well versed in Australian marsupials and other fauna the Ostrich is Out of Africa.

While were on the subject what does Bald Eagle taste like when stewed?

Miss KangarooI hate to inform you of this but OUR kangaroos are NOT homosexual so if you would like to assist in finding Jane's buck a mate please ensure the doe has the correct reproductive organs for procreative copulation
