Thumbs up Hope for Tiny

Tiny is " floating". Tiny lost his legs a long time ago way above the knees. He has been in a wheel chair ever since. A company called Advanced Dynamics contacted him yesterday and told him they made prostetic legs with a computer in the knee that will allow him to walk again. I kinda take walking for granted but Tiny don't. He is so happy he is floating. I pray it works out for him , he is so excited. He is waiting for an appointment now , he tried something like this years ago but it didn't work out. Please send a good wish to Tiny that this works.... all he wants to do is walk... something most of us take for granted. He made me promise I would take him to the Wall in 05 and push him up to the panel where most of our guys are. Maybe we will walk up now. Peace and Hope

All the well wishes and prayers I can muster are headed Tiny's way. And a small one to you John for continuing to care for the troops! Thanks

There is a guy by the name of Scott Rogers who is hiking the entire Applachian Trail, all 2,168 miles of it, on a "bionic leg" built by a German prosthetic company. It is a knee, ankle and foot unit that has hydraulics and has microprocessors that monitor his movement 50 times a second to ensure he has a natural gait. Check out his web site at: http://www.onelegwonder.com

Thumbs up JOHN

That's GREAT news. I surely hope this pans out for him. I wonder how much instruction it's going to take. I wouldn't think he could just strap it on and go. Especially after all these years that he hasn't walked. Jaysus, science is wonderful!

Thumbs up

He sees the first DR. April 5th. Man I hope this works for him , he is so pumped. Told him awhile ago I would gladly give him one of mine if I could - and I would - but he told me to keep them he was doing OK. Ain't never heard him complain about losing his legs . Frank never bitched about being burned up either. Amazing people. Stronger than I could ever be. Peace

LT,
You tell him for me...thanks, you know what I mean.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and sending prayers heavenward.

His spirit is good, just have to remember to be patient with himself as he learns to walk all over again.

I knew a guy once that lost a leg to bone cancer. He has some sort of bionic leg made out of titanium with a hydraulic piston. Its fall proof. If he were to let his weight fall quickly the piston would kick in and grab, slowing his decent enough to allow him to compensate.

Take it from me some days Gravity sucks!
