To All :

First I want to apologize if the article I posted offended anyone. I neither endorsed or agreed with what was presented. I realize that many of us on this site have friends, relatives, and neighbors in harm's way around the world. However, especially because of this, it is more important than ever to see and hear what the rest of the world thinks of what we do outside our borders. The lessons of Vietnam, Lebanon, and Somalia demand nothing less. From now on I will put a disclaimer at the top of any articles I post from other websites. Please do not attribute what I may personally think about a subject, because I post a particular point of view. I hope that is clear.

Lastly, I had a nice chat with David on the phone. This was the first time I had talked to him and he related a lot of his Gulf War experiences. I also found out he was a fellow Scorpio. LOL...
He is as nice a person as I had perceived he was. It is good to back on site. I am still hobbling around and coughing.

Re: posting stuff--ANYTHING: I figure you ought to be able to post about anything if you sign your real name to it. I'm trying to get in the habit of doing it, especially if its controversial. Sort of makes me look real close at what I'm saying--other than that I say too much because I hide behind the anonymity of it

Just a couple of thoughts for whatever they're worth.

To my way of thinkin it would probably be a bad idea to cut and paste the latest KKK diatribe onto a Black history forum,or pornography onto a religious forum,or neo-nazi propaganda onto a Jewish appriciation site.Kinda have the idea that you're likely to offend folks irreguardless of weather or not you put in a disclaimer or sign your name or whatever.In those kind of situations people are likely to assume that it is your deliberate intention to offend them.Might be a better idea to just tell folks where certain information can be found if they're interested in such.

When you post something like that, say: " I don't agree with this but we as Americans should be aware of the what the rest of the world thinks about us." Or, some sort of disclaimer.
